3Descu in the press: from five printers in an apartment to a factory for Europe

On 21 October 2026, five newsrooms told our story on the same day. Romania's business press, a national TV news site, our home county's newspaper and an English-language outlet all wrote about the same thing: a 3D printing factory in Târgu Jiu that started with five printers in a small apartment and now makes parts for engineering teams across Europe.

From five printers in an apartment to a factory for Europe

Our founder, Adrian Căpraru, grew up in Gorj, studied Marketing in English at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and spent his first working years in European fintech, where regulated finance taught him to document every process. In 2020 he came home to Târgu Jiu for a master's in entrepreneurship at Constantin Brâncuși University.

In the second year of that master's he wrote the business plan for a 3D printing factory, every page himself. It placed first on points in STAR, a European Social Fund programme for student entrepreneurs, and brought a grant of about €60,000. The company was registered in June 2022 and started with five printers in a small apartment. For the first year, Adrian was the whole company.

Today we are one of the largest 3D printing factories in Eastern Europe: 200+ FDM and SLA printers, ISO 9001:2015 certified, 1,200+ orders delivered to 450+ clients in 10+ countries, with an average rating of 4.7 / 5. Almost everything we make is exported.

What it means if you buy parts from us
